This week, our children have been learning all about Remembrance Day. We began with a whole-school assembly to reflect on why remembrance is so important and why we continue to honour it today. At 11am, both schools paused for a two-minute silence to mark this significant moment. Year 3 & 4 created beautiful peace dove collages and explored words and symbols of peace and hope. Year 5 & 6 designed striking silhouette art to represent soldiers on the battlefield. And to finish, we all learned the classic song “It’s a Long Way to Tipperary” together. A thoughtful and creative week for everyone as we remember and reflect.
