School Uniforms


To ensure all students look smart and best represent Grange Junior School we have a number of rules when it comes to school uniforms.

The Grange Junior School uniform for girls consists of:

Winter

  • Grey pinafore/skirt/culottes/trousers (No Leggings)
  • White polo shirt
  • Dark Green sweatshirt or cardigan with or without school logo

Summer

  • Green & White striped/checked dress
  • Or the same as Winter

Outdoor

  • A warm waterproof coat/anorak appropriate for the weather

Footwear

  • White, Black, or Grey socks
  • Black or Grey tights
  • Plain Black shoes or boots with low heels
  • No Trainers e/g Nike, Adidas, Puma, Vans, Converse, etc
  • Sensible black/White sandals with backs for summer

  • Grey Trousers
  • White polo shirt
  • Dark Green sweatshirt with or without school logo

Summer

  • Same as Winter

Outdoor

  • A warm waterproof coat/anorak appropriate for the weather

  • White, Black, or Grey socks
  • Plain Black shoes or boots
  • No Trainers e.g. Nike, Adidas, Puma, Vans Convers, etc
  • Sensible Black sandals with backs for summer

PE Uniform

The Grange Junior School PE uniform consists of:

  • Coloured T-shirt depending on house
House Colour
Stanton Yellow
Nightingale Blue
Coate Red
Lydiard Green
  • Black shorts
  • Black plimsolls
  • Warm tracksuit/jogging bottoms & sweatshirt
  • Optional: Dark Green hoodie

Additional Notes

Jewellery should be kept to a minimum and removed for all PE lessons. Small studs/sleepers and a watch are permissible. No smartwatches or fitbits. It is fine to wear jewellery due to a religious belief.

Long hair should be tied back with a navy or black hair tie. No large hair accessories. Dyed hair is not allowed and hairstyles should be appropriate for the setting.

No make-up, nail varnish, or large earrings should be worn to school. Please ensure your child can remove their earrings for P.E. lessons.


Embroidered sweatshirts

Sweatshirts bearing the school logo may be purchased from outside suppliers:

Purchasing second-hand school uniforms is budget-friendly and eco-conscious. Here are some suggestions:

  • School Office / PTA: Check with the school office to find out how to purchase pre-loved uniform.
  • Charity Shops: Visit local charity shops that may carry school uniforms.
  • Online Marketplaces: Use sites like eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and dedicated uniform exchange platforms.
  • Community Groups: Join local social media groups where parents sell or trade uniforms.

These suggestions can help save money and support sustainability.
