On Thursday 16th April 2026, parents and carers will find out where their child will be starting their primary school journey.

National Offer Day is when primary and junior school place offers are shared with families across the UK. It is an exciting milestone, but we recognise that it can also feel like an anxious time for parents and carers.

At The White Horse Federation, we understand that starting a new school is a significant step for both children and families. If you have any concerns or uncertainties about your child’s allocation, please be reassured that there is plenty of support available to help make the transition as smooth and positive as possible.

Accepting Your Child’s School Place

Once you receive your child’s school offer, we encourage parents and carers to accept the place as soon as possible with your local authority, and before the stated deadline. Accepting promptly allows schools to begin sharing important information with you and ensures your child’s place is secured.

Please note that families who submitted applications after the January admissions deadline may receive their offers later than National Offer Day.

A Warm Welcome from All of Us

Across our Multi-Academy Trust, we are united by a shared mission: To inspire every child to flourish through an inclusive, all-through education that nurtures opportunity, equity, and agency for life. Our Reception classrooms are vibrant, joyful spaces where children are encouraged to explore, play, and grow – academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our dedicated staff teams have worked hard to ensure that every child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn. From the first smile at the school gate to the stories shared at the end of the day, we are here to make this transition a positive and memorable experience.

Working Together

We believe that strong partnerships with families are key to a successful start. You are your child’s first and most important teacher, and we are thrilled to be working alongside you. Throughout the year, we’ll keep you informed, involved, and inspired – through regular communication, events, and opportunities to engage with your child’s learning.

Growing Together

As part of our Trust, your child is joining a wider community that values excellence, kindness, and opportunity. We are committed to nurturing not just academic success, but also the values and skills that will help every child thrive in school and beyond.

Supporting Your Child’s Start to School

Starting a new school is a big step – one filled with excitement, curiosity, and new experiences. We want you to know that you are now part of a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring family of schools.

Looking Ahead

We look forward to welcoming new families into our school communities and working in partnership with you as your child begins this next chapter. Further information about admissions, transition arrangements, and preparing for school will be shared directly with you very soon. Over the next few weeks look out for an email from Applicaa with your child's onboarding form.

If you have any questions or would like additional support, please do not hesitate to contact your school directly.

We wish all our families every success as they prepare for this exciting new beginning.
