Grange Junior School is delighted to welcome you to our brand-new website. We think you’ll agree that this update has improved the appearance of our online presence and, most importantly, positions our website as an excellent, more accessible source of important school information.
With this new website, we feel parents, staff, and the local community will find it easier to really get to know our school, and to find the information they need more readily.
Our new website has been designed by user experience professionals, who have used their expertise to create an online presence you will find easier and more enjoyable to use than ever.
We’re proud to say that our school website now stands at the forefront of online resources in the education sector. Below, we’ve detailed just a few of the new features you’ll benefit from.
Our website contains a lot of information, and we’re conscious that many different pages quickly become difficult to navigate. Key information can become buried, with users forced to click through numerous links to find what they’re looking for.
We’ve introduced a new, streamlined page hierarchy that makes it possible to navigate from the home page to any piece of information within just three clicks. This should make searching for information much easier.
Segmented News and Updates
At Grange Junior School, we are committed to keeping parents and carers up to date with their child’s education and the activities taking place at our school. To do this, we regularly share updates on our website.
The new website layout includes designated sections for:
- Class Updates — Regular updates about the activities of each class or year group, as well as termly school newsletters.
- Letters and Forms — Any letters given to children to take home to parents will be published in this section. Examples include permission slips for schools trips or information about attendance.
- School News — Stories about the latest events taking place at school, including those that are weaved into the curriculum, such as Red Nose Day or World Book Day.
You may have noticed the two tabs at the top of our new website: one featuring our school name, and the other labelled “Our School Community”. Clicking on the latter will give you access to our new community website.
On our community website, you’ll find information about our fundraising programmes and discover opportunities to volunteer your support with activities and extracurricular initiatives. Make sure to browse our community website to see what we’re working on. There, you’ll be able to contribute to our projects or offer some of your valuable time to help us continue delivering high-quality education and a richer school experience to all pupils.
These are just a few of the brilliant new features of our website that we are proud to share with you. We hope that you find our new website to be an improved resource for the information you need about Grange Junior School.
