Changes to Breakfast Club from 3rd April 2020
From 3rd April 2020 the current provision for Breakfast Club, After School Club and Walking Bus will no longer be available to the Junior School. This decision has not been taken lightly and it has only been decided with your child/children's safety, learning and development at the heart of our decision. It is our intention to offer a Breakfast Club and Afterschool Club from the 20th April 2020.
To be able to open this provision, we first need to ascertain whether the clubs will be beneficial to our families and financially viable to run.
If you are interested in your child attending, please complete and return the "Expression of Interest" accessible via the button below. We are hoping that the wrap around provision will continue, however this can only happen with your support. We look forward to receiving your "Expression of Interest" - please return your slip to the office by 31st January 2020.
A Breakfast school club is offered to all children which runs everyday from 7.30am until the start of school, at a cost of £3.50 per day/child.
The club is run from the Infant school. Any Junior school children attending the club will be walked over to the Junior school ready for the start of the school day.
If you are interested an application form should be downloaded, completed and returned to relevant school office.
Once your application form has been processed, you will be able to book and pay for your required sessions, via our normal online school money system. Bookings and payments must be made by noon on Friday for the following week in school term time and by noon on the last Friday of the school term for the next term. Please note there is no bookings or payments available in the school holidays for the first week back of the term.
During breakfast club the children enjoy having a choice of healthy cereals, fresh juice, fresh fruit and toast with preserves. After finishing their breakfast the children are free to enjoy multiple activities which change on a daily basis. Some of the more popular activities are bowling, table tennis and Lego building. Some of the children also use their time during breakfast club to complete their homework and spellings, but this is completely up to the individual child. We provide a friendly relaxed atmosphere where the children can socialise before school lessons start.
We currently have spaces available and welcome anybody who would like to join us. If you feel this may be of interest to you please complete a application form online or one can be picked up from the school office. Attendance does not have to be regular, however any required spaces need to be booked and paid for one week in advance.
You can get up to £500 every 3 months (£2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare.
If you get Tax-Free Childcare, the government will pay £2 for every £8 you pay your childcare provider. This is paid via an online childcare account that you set up for your child.
You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as 30 hours free childcare if you’re eligible for both.
