Grange Junior School For Parents

After School Clubs

Changes to After School Club from 3rd April 2020

From 3rd April 2020 the current provision for Breakfast Club, After School Club and Walking Bus will no longer be available to the Junior School. This decision has not been taken lightly and it has only been decided with your child/children's safety, learning and development at the heart of our decision.

It is our intention to offer a Breakfast Club and Afterschool Club from the 20th April 2020. To be able to open this provision, we first need to ascertain whether the clubs will be beneficial to our families and financially viable to run. If you are interested in your child attending, please complete and return the "Expression of Interest" accessible via the button below.

We are hoping that the wrap around provision will continue, however this can only happen with your support. We look forward to receiving your "Expression of Interest" - please return your slip to the office by 31st January 2020.

School years are not just a time for classroom learning, but also for identifying passions and hobbies. Here at Grange Junior School, we conduct a wide range of after-school clubs, all of which are aimed at giving our students the best school experience possible. These clubs allow them to follow their passions and develop individual skills and talents. By taking part in these clubs, our students are able to develop an array of transferable skills, including confidence, imagination, teamwork, coordination, focus, creativity, and determination. Honing these attributes at an early age sets our students up for success not only at school, but also in their adult life.

Tax-Free Childcare

You can get up to £500 every 3 months (£2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare.

If you get Tax-Free Childcare, the government will pay £2 for every £8 you pay your childcare provider. This is paid via an online childcare account that you set up for your child.

You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as 30 hours free childcare if you’re eligible for both.

Why Join a Club?

Young people’s skills start to grow and evolve from an early age, and their time at school plays a significant role in shaping their attributes and personality. By taking part in our after-school clubs, students enhance their social skills and enjoy spending time with other children outside of the classroom. They also develop a range of other attributes, depending on which club they attend.
